Pixel Text Tutorial

    • Make pixel text in 10 easy steps! You need Paint Shop Pro to do this. I used PSP9 to make this tutorial but i hope it works with other versions as well.

    1) First, we start off with a new image. Match your settings with mine.

    3) Now use the text tool(t) to write in the text. Use and colour you want (it cannot be black). I'm using #ff8dd3. Match your settings to mine in the tool options. Download the font(redensek) here.

    4) Enter your text.

    5) You will get something like this with black "ants" marqueeing around.

    6) Create another new image, same setting in step 1.

    7) Use the flood fill tool(f) and fill the area with any colour you want but it must be darker than the colour of the text. I am using #ff0099.

    8) Copy the text with marqueeing ants by pressing Ctrl and C at the same time.

    9) Paste it as a selection into the new image by pressing Ctrl and E at the same time.

    10) Expand the selection.

    Copy it and paste as a new image and you're done! If you want it to have a shiny effect, at a white dot the the corner of every letter.
